What I Should

This is what I should have chosen to wear yesterday morning as I was staring into my closet, half asleep, for an absurd amount of time.  This is the event that creates an awful sense of rush and panic sometime around 6:55 nearly every morning.    As much I like to buy and wear clothes, I much prefer my fluffy, pink bathrobe.  We love each other.  It's really had to part ways in the morning.

If I had made the correct wardrobe decision and worn this yesterday, it would've been the 3rd time in just over a week.  This.  Exact.  Outfit.  But hey, when it works, it works.  Surprisingly enough, there is absolutely no color goin' on here.  That's quite unusual for me.  Perhaps I don't mind because the variety of neutrals, textures and pattern work together so my typical pop of brightness isn't missed.  Instead, we have a pop of leopard.  Just as fun, I think.

So what did I end up wearing yesterday?  Nothin' special.  I don't bother taking pictures on the 'nothin' special' days, but perhaps I should...to be fair.

Scarf:  $10 store on Carnival Cruise
Dress:  Target

I LOVE this! Is that dress still at Target?

I love the belt, and I agree--the variety of patterns and textures makes this outfit really interesting.

How do you find such cute fun dresses at the Target? Really nice use of different browns - it still seems spring-y.

Thanks, ladies!

Nic - this dress is several years old...Isaac Mizrahi came out with a few dresses in this style & I wish I would've bought the other colors...I bet you could find it at the thrift store now!

Oh, I agree completely! Bathrobe time is my favorite time of the day, even though I love my clothing and shoes. They will never compare.

But this outfit? Amazing! I love it. I love the printed tights, the wide belt, the play of browns. Seriously, this is gorgeous. I'd wear this every day, too (I've been doing that a bit of myself recently, so I get it - when it works, it works, so I go with it).

I have been on the hunt for a good brown dress. I have so many accessories that will work with it.
