Halloween Friday

Hey...what happened to Thursday?  It came and went without so much as a nod in my direction.  Rude.

Ah well...Friday is a better day anyway.  The day that I can look forward to the next day when I can sleep in.  And on this day, this Friday, I'm dressed for a Halloween potluck at work, channeling Minnie Mouse (again).  That's good enough reason to get up on this cold, fall morning.

My mom was going through some stuff in her basement and came across a couple of my old Halloween Costumes.  Minnie Mouse - I had purchased it in the largest children's size available (because I'm small and cheap), but looking at it now, I don't know how I ever got my boobs in there.  Today, I'm wearing this dress.  I'm sure you'll see pictures later.

The other costume was one my mom made when I went as Raggedy Ann.  It will definitely still fit, so I'm thinking of wearing it this weekend.  In fact, I may even keep the dress as part of my regular wardrobe.  With tights and a belt, it might actually be real-life appropriate.

I don't usually get too excited about Halloween, but the weather here has been rather spooky (dark & windy), so I've been in the mood to wear black and orange.  For example:

This is the face I make when I realize that insisting on an outdoor photo in freezing drizzle may not have been the best idea afterall.

Tee:  Target
Sweater:  Kohl's?
Necklace:  Forever 21
Blazer:  Banana Republic, thrifted
Skirt:  Forever 21
Leggings:  DSW
Boots:  JCPenny
Purse:  Thrifted

Normally I dislike this color combo because it looks so Halloween like but in this case it really IS Halloween and I would wear your outfit year round because you make it look so cute!

I don't normally even like orange-it has to do with SEC football-but you look damn cute in that outfit! I love it.

Happy Halloween!!

The mix of serious orange and fun polka-dots is awesome, love it! I am also seriously loving the change of scenery. Btw, it was 80 degrees here yesterday. ;-)
