The holiday season is a busy time for a gospel choir.
Friday: Mall of America Holiday Music Festival
We've sang at the MOA almost every year since the mid-90's. It's always interesting to see who stops to watch/listen to a loud, rowdy group sing about Jesus.
Saturday: Holidazzle Parade
It's been a few years (like 9?) since we've sang at Holidazzle. Though it's super fun and unlike anything else we do, it may be another 9 before we attempt it again. It's a really tough venue. We have to sing acapella, while on a moving float, while remembering to smile and wave at the crowd, all in the freezing cold. My upper lip went numb about 1/2 way through the ride, but I persevered. Do you know how hard it is to sing Carol of the Bells with a numb lip? Regardless, we had a great time.
Sunday: Back in the studio
We came out with a pre-release last year, and this year we're working on getting the real deal perfected and in buyable form before our church concert on the 19th. The tracks have been sent to Nashville for final mixing, and Steve is working on the cover art. It's going to be awesome.
