Nostalgic

(Miles is peeking.)

I've been slowly updating a few wardrobe essentials.  This plaid skirt had been in my possession too long and had become ill-fitting.  A brief browse around one of the best vintage boutiques in the Twin Cities, and I found this most-perfect replacement for only $15.  I just looooove it.

Wore this to church.  One person said I looked "very nostalgic", and another accused me of borrowing clothes from an 80-some year old woman in the congregation.  Precisely what I was going for.

Hey...enter the giveaway if you haven't already, k?

LOVE this skirt!!! This is exactly what I wish the one that I shortened too much still looked like. I will find another. I will find another.

I don't watch Madmen but many bloggers have referred to it and I'm thinking this outfit would fit a character because it's set in the early 60s(?). I think it is the gloves. I adore it! Must be a hip 80-year-old from whom you borrowed :D

Cool necklace tee! I'll have to check out the tutorial. That leopard-print belt was $2.25? That's worth the drive to Portland for me :D

Too funny about Imelda Marcos because I used to say that I'm not living up to my Filipinoness like IM when it comes to shoes.

I'm a new follower!

I have a plaid skirt in similar colours that I haven't worn yet. I think you may have inspired me to dig it out and actually do something with it!

Beautiful outfit and the gloves are perfection!

And of course, all photos that include even a trace of pug are fabulous!

i'm drooling. there's something about a plaid-on-the-diagonal wool (i'm guessing?) skirt that makes me so happy. love love LOVE love love. (and, yes, i typed each of those out, none of this cut-and-paste nonsense with such sincere emotion from me!)

What a great skirt! I recently got a similar one, but in black and white, and I had no idea what to wear it with because of the length. Thanks for the inspiration!

I've loved the way you've worn your plaid skirts so I went out thrifting and found two great wool blends for *get this* 99 cents each! I'm excited to put them in to the rotation!
