Charlotte Chic

Sweater, Shorts:  Hot Mama
Shoes:  Target
Charlotte Tarantola is right up there with my favorite brands at Hot Mama.  I love everything she designs.  Admittedly, this is the only piece I own (give it time).  Her styles are special with unexpected color, pattern, and texture combinations that make me swoon.  The fit is exceptional.  This little sweater is striped (I'm a sucker), and has a sparkly sheen.  I stalked it almost daily until it went on super-sale.  Mission accomplished.

Ollie appreciates Charlotte for her pet fashion.   His clothes are of the manlier sort, of course, but he recognizes a well dressed lady pup when he sees one.

Walk Therapy

Green Tank:  Gap
Shoes, Orange Tank:  Target
Hat, Shorts:  Hot Mama

Ollie and I went for a long, hot walk today.  We've both been a bit restless lately and it was exactly what we needed.  Later, there will likely be pizza and root beer floats.  For me, not the pup.  Though I'm sure he'll ask.

Tree Girl

Hmmm.  I look like a tree.  A tree with an attitude.  This was not my intention.  But I'm kinda ok with it.

Shirt, Tank:  Hot Mama
Jeans:  J. Crew
Shoes: Madden Girl, gifted
I love white jeans.  LOVE.  And you will likely see me wearing them well after Labor Day.  They're a year-round staple in my wacky world.  As crazy as I am about my white Joe's, they just won't do on days when I feel like a chunky monkey.  That's when I reach for my old ripped up expandables from J. Crew.  They are capable of growing 2 full sizes throughout the day - you know the type.   So I avoid them on skinny days, embrace them on chunky days.  THIS day = hallelujah.

Minnie Watch

Shirt:  Hot Mama
Shorts:  7 for all mankind, thrifted
Shoes:  Target
Shades:  Len

I purchased a Minnie Mouse watch on our last trip to Disney.  Not a fancy one.  It cost somewhere around $20.  Basic, brown leather band.  Minnie's white gloves point the time.  I've worn it nearly every day since and now feel naked without it.

Do all signature accessories happen accidentally?  I've purchased many unique necklaces, rings and bracelets with the intention of them being my "signature" piece.  The one I am never seen without.  For various reasons, those only became another piece of a greater collection.

For the price, I thought I might wear Minnie for the duration of our trip and then likely forget about her when the Disney magic was over.  Instead, she has become my go-to.  Daily reminding me to make life magical, wear polka dots whenever possible, and giggle a lot.

Puppy Breath

Earrings, Shirt:  Hot Mama
Skirt:  TJ Maxx
Shoes:  YOU by Crocs, gifted (xo, Stevie)

I recently saw a bumper sticker that read "I kiss my dog on the lips".  I'm not typically a fan of bumper stickers, but that one struck me as pleasantly profound.  Clearly, I identify with the driver of that vehicle.
